It's great for the first two years....

The topper was great for the first two years. It provided great back support and allowed me to sleep through the night. I have a bad back resulting from a car accident. Unfortunately by year three it started to break down and lose its shape just like its competitors. Definitely not providing the support that it once did and my sleep is disrupted by back pain once again. Disappointed in the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I later got an email from Tempur-Pedic with this topper being on sale. I read the reviews and wanted it. My husband said yes and I bought it. I really like it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had bought at least 8 Toppers from you in the past and LOVED THEM SO MUCH!!! They actually fixed many of our family members backs by sleeping on them!!! But the most recent one we bought was clearly different! Not at all the same. We called and asked if we had made a mistake when ordering and the person on the phone explained to us that the product had been changed!...I am old enough to remember when Coca cola came out with "New Coke"...and then had to back pedal and follow it up with "Classic Coke"!!!!...Which actually went down in history as one of the biggest product mistakes in history!!! The old 3" mattress topper is actually responsible for curing me from a really bad case of Sciatica!!! It was amazing and i told my story many times and recommended Tempurpedic by name on instagram sciatica posts!!! ....unfortunately i cannot vouch for this new softer topper that feels just more like regular foam, The density of the older memory foam just felt more supportive somehow. Please bring the old memory foam!!!! and i will happily keep touting your company when people ask me about sciatica!!! hope this helps!!! and if you do bring it back i will go back to giving 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for short term use

The good: I got it originally to sleep in the back of my SUV and used the extra length as a pillow and worked out great. Spent a lot of time outdoors for work. I definitely got better sleep than most people. The cover would get dirty but the inside material was clean and didn't smell musty. I would put something under it to protect the topper and so you don't feel everything under you I take it regularly when I travel and fits perfectly in a long rolling bag. Got stuck in an airport overnight and pulled it out. When I took the cover off the inside material didn't smell like I just slept on the floor. It's not heavy in my opinion for how thick it is. I am able to pack things in the same rolling bag as the topper. Cons: it is really soft and I do not recommend laying on the floor with nothing under it. I wish there was a better way to keep it rolled up. Smelled really bad coming out of packaging. Went away after a while even after washing the cover multiple times.
