[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, highly pleased with the comfort level of this topper; it made sleeping that much more comfortable, eliminating the morning aches from a mattress that was not as comfortable as anticipated. There is no additional heat that is typically the case with memory foam products; therefore, the cooling aspect seems relevant. The only negative is the size, which is a bit short of king by about three inches. However, this does not negate the benefits.

It's incredibly comfortable and the cooling is nice, but I already was having trouble waking up, and this makes it even harder to roll over and get up - literally, it is hard to roll over. Also at night when I am trying to get comfortable, it is hard to roll over into a new position. I often sleep without a pillow on this because it is so soft that my pillow is now too supportive and twists my neck weird. And when I was sick I had to remove it because my head was too elevated and I need to sleep without a pillow when I'm congested. But my fiancee likes it better than our mattress so we're keeping it. I never thought I'd be interested in one of those sleep number beds because I didn't think I was a picky sleeper. I understand now. This mattress topper makes me feel like the bed has swallowed me alive.

There is a constant 8in gap where it slides down and our pillows are stuck between the headboard and bottom mattress so now we have to have two pillows. I need the topper for hips but it feels like it's hurting my back with a lack of support. Really not happy overall. I wish I could just find a softer mattress but Tempur stopped making the one we liked.

Softens my mattress surface and improves sleep but....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old mattress is too stiff for me resulting in pressure points on a hip and shoulder that contribute to my tossing and turning at night. I've been debating a new mattress/bed for several years but finally decided to investigate and ultimately try a topper to soften the surface. I settled on this topper as an (albeit expensive) experiment to see if it could solve my pressure/pain problems without the expense and complexities of a new bed. It has softened the mattress surface and therefore helped with those uncomfortable pressure points - especially the hip. I now can often sleep on the problem side thru the night which I've not been able to do before. The shoulder can still develop some discomfort. As a 155 lb. side-sleeper perhaps a softer topper would have been a bit better choice? I tend toward sleeping hot driving my bedroom temp to 60 or cooler whenever possible. Worried about heat retention in a memory foam mattress/topper I opted to pay extra for the cooling topper. Given that it's winter now I can't yet evaluate whether the cooling topper will be worth the extra expense and save me from heat buildup. That important question will have to wait until this summer to be answered. I have to hope it works sufficiently or the expense will multiply as I'm forced to search for a new option. Note: the review format forced me to answer whether or not I would recommend the product in order to submit the review. This is unfortunate because I never recommend or recommend against anything. I will offer my experiences if asked - as I've done here - but I don't recommend. That's dangerous to my credibility. So in order to submit the review they forced me to select NO below. But be advised I'm neither recommending or not recommending this product. How well this product works or doesn't work will vary for all sorts of individual reasons.
