The topper itself came packaged nicely. I had fun unwrapping it and fluffing it out. There wasn't a strong scent, but maybe a hint of a packaged item smell? It dissipated quickly-before bed (6-8hrs). It came with the cooling cover already on. I was excited to finally beat my night sweat. Sadly, I still have a few hot nights despite the claimed "cooling." Overall, it did restore my bed situation until I can get a new mattress in a couple years. I hope it lasts a while because I plan on keeping it around. Oh, if there is a dip in the mattress from someone sitting on the edge, you may still notice that dip every so often. It's not a fix all solution. Last thing, my dog puked on it recently(there goes the warranty, I'm certain), and the cooling cover is not fluid proof at all. Thankfully it came out of the cover and my swift action to get the cover off immediately and start getting the fluid out of the topper worked. -blot as much as you can-do not rub in! On that note, I'm a little disappointed the cooling cover isn't a protector. I feel like the cooling cover is pointless because when you add a protector then sheets will there be any real benefit to the user? The cooling element would be buried away. Cooling cover is minus 2 stars from the 5 star rating, to settle on a 3 because of topper functionality.

I have been buying numerous pillows over the years, only to be continuously disappointed. I have a bad neck and find myself turning my pillow over and over trying to get cool and comfy. But alas! I have finally found the cool and comfortable Saatva pillow, and I am sleeping like a baby! No more tossing and turning ! This pillow has given me back my 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep!! Once I figured out how to remove the inner part I was in sleep heaven! Thank you!! Best pillow ever!!!

As a topper this has provided me with a very comfortable bed in my dorm! My dorm bed without the topper would not be comfortable at all to sleep on without the topper! My grandmother is going to purchase another for my so she too will start college with a comfortable bed! It will definitely help her sleep much better! It was the best gift !

I developed a back problem and my partner has a hip problem. I had just bought a new mattress and didn't want to have to buy a new mattress even though my sister highly recommended a Temper-pedic. I discovered that Temper-pedic has a mattress topper and bought the 3-inch topper with cooling cover. It is the most comfortable topper I have ever had and does help my back and partners' hips who hasn't complained of hip pain in awhile. I love to move my feet around the end of the bed when I'm too warm, it feels so good!
