[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] College dorms aren't stocking the finest mattresses money can buy. I can't imagine sleeping on mine without this Tempurpedic mattress topper. It's nice and thick, and the material beats standard egg crate toppers by a mile. You spend a lot of your life sleeping, and getting quality sleep is important when you're trying to do well in school! Get the best. Pros: Cooling effect super noticeable. I am a hot sleeper, and this topper stays comfy all night. Thick, resilient material doesn't flatten out - when you wake up, it's still there. Cons: Just a nitpick, but better straps might help it stay in place a little better. I've never had it shift too badly, and deep-pocket sheets do a good job keeping it in place.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a Lucid memory foam topper before that was 4 inches, we had issues with that ripping under me. I flip all around in bed and move a lot. We decided to give Tempur-Pedic a try after we brought a bed for MIL from them, and she raved about how great it is. I would highly recommend this if you are not quite ready to get a full mattress from Tempur-Pedic. Once my husband and I are ready to replace our mattress we will be getting one from Tempur-pedic. This topper has been cooler, and more firm in the way it doesn't give away completely like our other topper. Also there has been no rips, and it stays in place with the straps. Even with one less inch I find it is much better at conforming to both my husband and I. We are also heavier set folks.

I wanted to return it but found out mattress toppers can't be returned, which is absolute nonsense. Definitely think before you buy, and only purchase if you want no support anywhere in your body.

First night on this topper without using my pillow was amazingly comfortable. I just laid down on my back to get feel for it before grabbing my pillow. I fell asleep before I grabbing it. I then woke up the next day feeling great! I continue to go without my pillow because I'm so comfortable in my back with this topper.
