Because I research various brands of mattress, I remember that there could be an odor, so once unpacked I aired it outside on a nice sunny day. Then placed it on the bed....all odors were gone, and it just felt so comfy once settled in for sleep. I have achey joints and this has eliminated most of the pain that normally wakes me up numerous times a night. My quality of sleep is so much better. I'm now looking at a full size one for my 92 year old mother. I think she would be pleased!!
