This is the second Tempurpedic Matress we have owned. We miscalculated and bought this second one to be a firmer mattress and wish we had purchassed the softer one. We them purchased the Mattress Topper and this resolved our concern and now sleep better than ever.

This topper is made very well but there are 2 issues which are making me give it away and buy another brand. My Fiancée and I left this outside during the day for a week and inside in a separate room for 2 weeks to air it out. My first issue is the smell. My Fiancée has a reaction to the smell and cannot sleep on this. The second issue is I wish it was firmer. I weigh 210 lbs. and I feel like it isn't firm enough. I called customer service and they said they cannot accept a return due to the "personal nature" of the product. But they will accept mattresses that are returned for some reason. I am giving it to a family member. I have used their cervical pillow for 14 years and will always do so but I will never buy a topper or mattress again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Topper provides some extra comfort, but I paid extra for the "cooling" which I do not find to be there. I did ask customer care and was told no refunds on toppers. Oh well.

I'm getting the best sleep I've gotten in years. This thing is soooo comfortable. This was my first foray into memory foam, and I am more pleased than I thought I would be. The only reason I don't give it five stars is because I do still tend to get hot. My previous topper was Talalay latex, and this is definitely hotter than that. It may be much cooler than previous versions of this or when compared to other memory foam toppers, but I have nothing to compare it to except latex. Having said that, I'm a hot sleeper. Despite the heat, I still give it four stars, because it's soooo comfy. As an added and unexpected bonus, my shoulder and elbow joint pain from side sleeping has all but vanished!

Mattress topper arrived as scheduled and put it on the bed the first night. Definitely lended to a softer mattress feel, but neither of us felt there was much cooling effect. Would recommend only if looking for a good quality roper but not for any cooling effect.
