I've tried cheap gel and memory foam toppers in the past, but none were nearly as sturdy as this is. Also love the removable, washable protective cover. Very pleased with this topper.

I need a not so easy combo of support (which I get with my mattress) and cradling softness. I finally have both now and what a difference! Doesn't sleep hot (and I am always hot) and I wake up with almost ZERO pain - that hasn't happened in years! Definitely highly recommend!

For the cost, this mattress topper should not sleep so hot. My wife and I have never had issues with being hot at night until this mattress pad. It does relieve pressure points in the shoulders and hips but just too hot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
