We went with the topper versus a memory foam mattress since it is cheaper to replace a topper than an entire mattress every few years. Couldn't be happier.

I have slept on a 3" foam topper for the past 6 years and as a side sleeper, my hips have increasingly hurt and kept me awake. After some detailed research, I landed on the Tempur-Adapt (sans cooling) Topper. It arrived in a smaller box than I expected and not as heavy as expected. Unboxing and unwrapping it was easy but initially disappointed. Just didn't look like much. However, I gave it a day to catch it's breath and finally unravel, made the bed up and on night one, slept great - no hip aches at all. I thought I'd wait a few days before writing a review and and pleased to report, I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my second Tempur-Adapt XL-Topper with Cooling Technology for my King-size bed which is comprised of 2 single extra-long bed frames which was a floor model in Houston, TX, at Mattress Macks Gallery Furniture Store. We purchased this Tempur-pedic bed a number of years ago and it had all the bells and whistles which still work. The toppers have revived my bed and I now watch more television in comfort in my bedroom. I also sleep so much better with its soft feel and I have no back pain of any kind as a result. Now both sides of the bed each have a brand new topper and I could not be happier! Thank You!
