Cooling initially or if you move around but if you stay in one place it gets hot. Support is amazing though. Just not necessarily great to keep you cool.

Tempur says this is a high quality medium firmness topper. The topper is none of those. I own a topper-supreme for the firehouse and loved it, so I figured the tempur-adapt would be even better for my bed at home. I was WRONG. The topper is way softer and feels like cheap foam. I sink way to much into the topper-adapt. This may be great for others but not for me. Tempur should have stated the firmness was "soft" not medium. And of course, I am unable to return this topper-adapt according to their policy, so I am stuck with an over-priced topper that is no where close to the quality of the topper-supreme. Do NOT buy. Stick with the topper supreme...way better and costs less!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just okay for the price point

I really wanted to love this topper, but I'm finding it's no more comfortable than the cheap topper I was using previously. My expectations were high since I've been sleeping on (and loving) Tempurpedic pillows for the last 15+ years. I was planning to purchase a Tempurpedic mattress, but decided to start with a topper, based on the price. I'm disappointed the topper doesn't offer a trial period, as the mattresses do. Otherwise, I'd return it and buy the bed.

Use this topper on an older Select Comfort mid range mattress. It has given this bed new life, great comfort, and I've never slept better, while retaining the ability to adjust the firmness of the underlying mattress.

My doctor wrote me a prescription for the Tempur-pedic. He felt it was the only thing that could help me all my aches and pains when I am in bed. My parents ordered me one for Christmas. It's the best gift I ever got. Although sleep still alludes me at least I am not in debilitating pain when chasing it.

I am sleeping comfortably through the night now. I even noticed the difference on my Garmin which tracks my sleep cycles. More deep sleep and REM cycles throughout the night.

Very pleased with this topper! It was a splurge, pricier than other toppers from other retailers, but has improved our sleep immensely. I am glad I bought the cooling topper cover, as I think memory foam holds heat, and we are both very comfortable with this set. My only issue (and its a small one) is that the cooling cover is a bit "slippery" on top of our mattress, requiring occasional adjustment even with a fitted sheet on top. I know that both my spouse and I are sleeping better and more comfortably now!
