[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the cooling topper to go on top of a traditional innerspring mattress. The cushion is not enough and the cooling effect lasts only a couple of minutes. I've since learned that gel cools only in optimal sleep temperatures (between 62-67 degrees), which is not working in our 73-degree Florida home. I'm sure it would work in your Montana cabin.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this mattress topper to see if it would help me and also because of the cooling factor. I am so glad that I bought it. Not great with my existing Tempurpedic Mattress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This topper feels nice, and I think it would be good on a traditional mattress, but I reached out to Tempurpedic asking if this would add a cooling effect to my original Tempurpedic mattress and was told it would. I can't say that I've noticed a cooling difference and what they didn't tell me is that it is smaller than my mattress. It has also made my fitted sheet come loose at night. Soooo.... not feeling cooler at night, and hassled with the sheet and undersized pad and out some money. I'd recommend this for memory foam comfort on a traditional mattress, just not to put on top of an existing Tempurpedic hoping for cooling. Also, these pads are not returnable.
