Terrible edge support

This "3 inch topper" is only 2 inches thick when measured. It is advertised as medium firm; it is not. It is extremely soft. If you sleep close to the edge, DO NOT BUY THIS! You will fall/roll right off in the middle of the night because this thing doesn't have any edge support. Basically if you want to sleep on what feels like a thick comforter, this is for you. However if you are like me and have the ache and pains that come with being middle aged, don't waste your money on this. I have had this thing less than a week and I'm hurting all over.

Unfortunately, the Tempur-Topper I purchased is not what I expected, even though I read the reviews, beforehand. I was looking for something that would help my back pain, but it didn't help at all. Because we were unable to return it, we purchased a thick, mattress pad cover to go over it, which helped a little. We are still trying to decide if we will keep it on our bed or not! I'm assuming it would be very comfortable for anyone that doesn't have back issues, since it is thick and well made.

I don't buy anything these days that doesn't come with a guaranty. I got the cooling topper and I'm not kidding when I say it's a game changer! The main reason I wanted to try it was because I have constant hip pain even with regular chiropractor visits. This topper is just firm enough yet molds to my body for a lighter than air feeling. I sleep without pain which means longer, deeper sleep and it's helped tremendously with my lower back and eliminated night sweats! I have already convinced a friend to purchase it as result of my constant raving about how much I love it!
