Too Soft

So I was hoping this would soften up my mattress a bit as I have a medium-firm bed. The bed I have is not bad but I am a side sleeper and would prefer a little more pressure relief because I am a side sleeper, HOWEVER, this topper is just too soft, I am not sure why some people say its too hard, i am 6,3 180lbs and this topper is like just way to soft, I sink in it and it actually becomes a bit of a struggle to get out of bed because of the sinkage. I would really warn anyone who weighs more than 180 to steer clear from this as I am pretty sure you will also sink as much, if not more than I. I would guess this is better for the lighter ladies who are side sleepers. If you are a heavier male please avoid the trouble and look elsewhere especially if you have back issues, I don't have back issues but this makes my back ache after just a few minutes of me sleeping on it on my back. Also please keep in mind you cant return this and you can't really try this out beforehand. So just because you like the Tempur mattress you tried out at a store does not mean you will like this mattress topper or that this topper will magically make your bed feel like a true temper matress.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've slept on very comfortable firm Tempur-Pedic beds before. This mattress topper is awful! I tried for a couple weeks and had the worst back pain. Its insane they don't even take refunds and its not clear just how soft this. Your entire body sinks in. Do not buy this if you need good back support. Stuck with this since no returns.

Purchased 10/29/2020. I immediately put it on top of my old mattress. There was a bit of an odor, but after about a week it went away. I suggest rolling it out and place it somewhere to air it out. It is so comfortable I finally wake up the next morning without back pain. It is 3 inches high, plus your mattress, so if you don't have deep pocket fitted sheets, they won't be able to fit. My sheets are 16" deep and fit perfect. Great topper.

I am on my second Stearns and Foster Mattress in 8 months. I was not happy with the mattress (first one sagged within 3 months) and it was giving me hip and shoulder pain. I have had the topper for 3 weeks and no pain, and I am sleeping through the night. I though it was a little hard the first time I slept on it, but it gives just enough to provide great comfort. I love it!

We were used to pillow tops or egg-crate foam toppers that are plushy and soft, so the first week was a rough adjustment. I compared it to laying on a perfectly molded cement block. Week two, I noticed that my hip (that ALWAYS hurt from laying on my side) hadn't been aching in a couple days. After a month, I fall asleep almost as soon as I lay down. I sleep through the night and have noticed myself waking up earlier and feeling well rested. It would be perfect if it had just a little more plush, but I'm not complaining.
