The padding is very thick and the cover is removable to wash. The chair is spacious, roomy and is extra large so you don’t feel enclosed. Amazing chair.

Black Cushions fade!

Chair is beautiful, but if ordering black, expect the cushions to fade to a brownish tone within a year if keeping this in a sunny area. We have it on a covered porch and the cushions look dingy, so only a year after purchasing and I'm desperately trying to locate replacement cushions in a lighter sun-friendly color.
