Everything good except the touch pad

The power and value is great. Just one problem... The touch pad sensitivity is too sensitive. I have to turn it off using the F10 key because is constantly moving my cursor all over the screen even when I'm not touching the touch pad. It seems to pick up heat from the palms of my hand and will move and select things as I type.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: poor touch pad design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To say the least, I'm trying to exchange it.. Samsung has amazing TV's, but unfortunately for me this specific laptop is not too good.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: touchpad does not work well, keyboard brightness and volume buttons freeze, battery dies quickly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

used it for a year with no problems. be careful of the power cord by the side unless you would wind up with a faulty adaptor.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color

I had a problem with my DVD drive, it never worked properly but it was just an item problem apparently, but i liked everything else about it that I exchanged it to the next model the QX411L, size, weight, color & design are awesome.
Only thing i would like to change is to have the CDs slide-in instead of the tray that comes out, I always feel it could easily break, not that it ever did... just a thought :)
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

Notebook to work and have fun

Hi, I´ve bought this notebook for personal use, I´m about to get my degree in software engineering, and I´ve to use softs like visual studio, DB servers, etc....
This notebook icore 5 worked perfect!! has great performance, it´s acceptable for all tasks I do when working.
Also I´ve fun with some games like tomb rider, etc... some of the new ones will not work, or work slow, but I was not looking for that, so that´s ok.
There is only one thing I dont´like, and it´s that the keyboard scratchs on the LED glass, some buttons, are marked on the screen, and it´s not good. only 1 year of use.
I´d like to know if Samsung provide some fix for it, maybe changing the LED glass. Please let me know, as I asssume this is a factory issue.
You can put something between the keyboard and the glass and it will protect it, but I´ve discovered that when it was late. :S :S

Great stylish little workhorse!

I work on board a train from Chicago to Oakland, CA. I bought this computer a year ago and it still feels new to me. My last few laptops after one year had fallen apart, i.e. rubber feet, keys falling off, screws falling out, DVD drive broken, and usually exactly when the warranty expired. This baby still looks and acts new. The strong body has taken everything I've thrown at it, and still looks new. The battery still holds a charge almost as good as when it was new, and it really is a workhorse! I love it!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, stylish, powerful
Cons: no remote
I would recommend this to a friend!
