Love cast iron grids

Great for searing and flavour, but....

I really do love the cast iron grids for searing and adding the nice hash marks on my meat. I'm now on my second set of grids in 5 years because the ceramic keeps peeling off. I know it doesn't harm my food, but my family doesn't like eating "crunchy black stuff" I'll be going with stainless steel next time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this review. Cast iron grids provide excellent heat retention and searing power, but they also require a little maintenance. Seasoning cast iron cooking grids help protect the porcelain coating, decrease sticking, and protect damaged or worn grids from rusting.
