Well I must say we love this Baron S590 grill and rotisserie burner. (Max Stars for the grill) Have had great success cooking great tasting chickens using the included rotisserie kit. I think I found its breaking point with two 8 pound birds rotating. I always try to balance as well as I can but something in the gearing failed and would only rotate part way, then reverse and could hear clattering from the motor. Now I’m in search for a stronger replacement because I will continue to use this great rotisserie burner option.
My wife bought me this for my birthday. Went to set it up today and with the extension it is too short for my grill. Even before i found out it was to short i put the extension on and the rod doesn't sit straight. I will be returning and try and find a longer one
I recently purchased a Broil King 490S grill. One of the reasons I purchased this particular grill was the inclusion of the rotisserie burner and the included rotisserie. I tried it out and honestly find it lacking. The counter weight is poorly placed and will rub against the casing when the spit is all the way into the power unit. The other issue is that the spit does not stay in the power unit. I guess I feel, if you go to the trouble to design and manufacture your own grill, at least make a rotisserie that works correctly with the grill
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this rotisserie kit as an excess three – very quiet, and cooked a whole chicken very evenly all the way around. I I bought this rotisserie kit as an excess three – very quiet, and cooked a whole chicken very evenly all the way around. I've only used it 2x so far, but it has been a great success. Just wish instead of the two forks that I had four, but I'm not complaining to buy a Nother two forks so I can cook two whole chickens at once. I have the kit that came with my Signet 70 which is nearly identical to this except for the fact it doesn't have the extension and universal adapters, essentially my kit is made for my grill, this one for many. The motor is nearly silent is able to rotate two heavy chickens with ease. Two things I found that could be better are the counterweight is not heavy enough to stop badly unbalanced items such as large chickens from negating it's effect. The forks are very large and all of the same distance away from the rod and thus will not engage if the item is smaller in diameter. Whole chicken, which is what I put on the rotisserie is smaller than the forks at the ends.
