Really does what it's supposed to do!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced the lighter weight cover for my Broil King Signet with this heavy duty one, and my barbecue weathered a Canadian winter in better shape. There was hardly any moisture ingress in the thermometer and very little between the grill cover and this cover when I took the latter off for the first time. That was a decidedly better performance than I had with the lightweight cover. The premium heavy during cover is well worth the extra money.

Poor Quality

Like others I am very disappointed in this cover. The handles on mine ripped off very quickly which was disappointing. One year warranty or not, handles should not be ripping off. A design so simple shouldn't be having warranty issues whatsoever.

Good Heavy Duty Cover But Inferior Handles

However I spent quite a bit of money on the cover from my grill retailer to ensure it was protected. When I went out to take the cover off the right handle popped off in my hand. After reading the reviews, I guess there are several others experiencing the same problem Our Canadian winters are harsh but for the money I expected this cover to hold up when used in freezing temperatures. The heavy rubber handles were actually an attractive feature of this cover, especially when there is a bit of light snow on the cover.

I bought this cover three days ago before reading the reviews. After having read all the reviews, both positive and negative, I am hesitant to open the box. I love my Baron 420 and want to protect it so that it will last a long while. But if the cover is not water proof or the handle break off it doesn't give me a sense of security. Should I return it or would you guarantee it?

All Broil King Premium covers come with a triple stitch seam, all weather backing, heavy duty handles on each end, breathable openings on either end, and lock clips to ensure a secure fit. They are water resistant, but not waterproof. Our covers are not designed to sit under heavy rainfall for extended periods of time, or to sit under a snowbank. The Broil King Premium covers come backed with a guarantee of five years, so should customers experience any defects within that time period, they can certainly work with our customer support team!
