I've been a fan of Otterbox Defender cases for years and have bought many of them. With this new one, I have discovered that for some reason, they have made the latch that holds the case in the clip holder much more flimsy and less reliable. Every Otterbox Defender case I have ever had clicked into the belt holder with a very firm click that gave you confidence it was securely attached. This new latch is shallower, smaller, FLIMSIER and MUCH less secure. It now comes (accidentally) unlatched from the belt carrier much easier than the old ones. Why they would foolishly ruin a successful product by greatly weakening the latch is beyond understanding. Who says, "Let's take this product that works very well and modify the latch so that it doesn't work nearly as well" - ???? Apparently they forgot that the sturdiness of the latch is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS PRODUCT. I am currently seeking an alternative, since I am now unconfident that otterbox seeks to build a reliable quality product anymore. this is my option based on this product and other sub par product offerings in the past few years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had this type of case for my iPhone 12 mini, so when I got my iPhone 15, I ordered a new case for it. Somehow, this case doesn't seem to be as good as my previous one; when I snap the phone to the back of the case, I don't get the "click" that lets me know it's fastened securely, and in fact, I've had the phone pop off the back a few times. I've tried to make sure it's fully snapped into place, but I just don't trust that the phone won't fall off my belt. On the upside, when it does fall off, the case around the phone seems to protect it from the fall.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The plastic around the camera cracked and broke within the first week. It was not dropped or anything. Other than that I have been enjoying the case.

The case is the usual Otterbox quality build and very robust. However whom ever designed the cut-out for the UBB-C port screwed-up big time. The cut-out is too narrow to accommodate a Thunderbolt cable. This is a major failure on the case design. Maybe I can find a cable with a more narrow end. If not this case is getting returned.

I’ve been using OtterBox on my last three IPhones. The case is very durable and protects my phone. I’m sad there is no longer a protective screen with the case.
But the main thing is the protective rubber over the case prevents the Wireless Charging. I’m required to remove the rubber to be able to wireless charge my IPhone 15 Pro.

Hello! The Defender Pro Series case is compatible with wireless charging, but does not contain magnets in the case itself. Should one be looking for a rugged protection option that also encompasses MagSafe, the Defender XT is an excellent option. I love the durability and protectiveness of this case. I just wish it had more variety in colors and styles. I settled on the blue Jean color and it is so dull, almost gray. I would love a variety to choose from.
