I’m so incredibly happy with this product. If anyone is reading this and has spent a significant amount of time researching different models - stop here - this is your sign. I, too, spent HOURS reviewing different models by different brands. I would find one, but see consistent bad reviews on a specific issue. Too many to make me think it was a fluke. I had been eyeing the shark with high hopes, simply because I know all shark vacuums I’ve ever owned had incredible suction. But there were reviews that made me continue my search. Nothing substantial and repetitive like the competitors, though. I found myself always coming back to the shark. I’m actually kicking myself because I overpaid and could have gotten the steam mop if I had ordered direct. Ya live and ya learn, eh? Anyways, the only consistent negative review I could find was that the chamber is small and you have to replenish the solution/empty the dirty water often. This is 100% true and it is tedious. But, I wonder if it’s designed this way to keep the suction the way it is. I’ve never had a machine with such a small chamber, even the cheap bissel models. But when I tell you, this thing picks up better than anything I’ve ever used…I’m not kidding. I rent a rug doctor regularly, and am always repulsed when I dump the water. The water I dumped from the shark, was BLACK. And I went over my carpet many times, it is still pulling out years of gunk. I am floored! The water that I pull from other machines is gross, but never black. I’m telling you, the small chamber is so worth it. I’m so impressed and really hope shark continues to create carpet cleaners. I will never go back and I hope to ease your wandering mind on whether or not to pull the trigger. Do it!! Because guess what, you won’t have to on this model with the auto dispensing solution feature, hah. I know, corny pun. Seriously, this is a fantastic investment. Buy it.

Amazing! Easy set up, and I was ready to go. The before, and after of my wall-to-wall rug was truly incredible. This is a lifesaver and the drying mode is brilliant.

I have had this machine for 2 months I think. I have 10 cats…. Sooo I clean a lot of messes. I love the smell of the shampoo it came with. The machine is a little heavy, but I find I like it because it makes me feel like it’s sucking more water up. I love how easily everything comes apart so it can be cleaned. The only thing I do not like about this machine is if you go past the fill line it will start to spit out the dirty water through the sides of the machine. It’s pretty gross.

This carpet cleaner has been hands down the best one we've purchased over the last 25 years. My only complaint is not with the machine itself but the cleaning solution. It leaves a waxy feel to the carpet. We just used hot water and vinegar and it cleaned better with no residue. Machine itself is phenomenal! With cleaning and sucking up the water

I am extremely pleased with the Shark CarpetXpert . I still can't believe how clean my rugs loo ...like new ! I've only tried the deep clean on my rugs. The color of the water told the story and therebwas stull so much pet hair that was sucked up while cleaning although we dry vacuum at least every two weeks! ...plan to use on my sofa

okay but tanks are too small

I have used this cleaner 3 times it cleans fairly well however the resovoir that holds water and the resovoir that collects the dirty water are too small I constantly have to drain the dirty one because overflow valve keeps stopping the operation when the resovoir is only half full. it needs bigger holding tanks.

I have had my stain striker for 1.5 weeks. And have cleaned all the carpets in my house and in laws house. This is by far the very best carpet cleaner I e ever used and I’ve used a lot.
I wouldn’t recommend anything else. If it was possible I’d say I’m in love with a carpet cleaner. 😁
