Sparked, popped, and died during first use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It sparked and fried out with first use. Tossed it out. It was a Christmas gift too, so kind of embarrassing. I have other kitchen aid products so this might just have been one of those one-in-a-million faulty ones but in any case, wouldn’t buy it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
