Once the app is set up it's pretty easy to program. LCD screen isn't visible at any distance. I haven't set ours up to work with Alexa, which I assume is what's necessary to get the app to control the thermostat when away from home and not connected to the same wifi network.
I does what it's supposed to do satisfactorily.

For what I paid, very disappointed there isn't a setting that is both heat/cool. It's one or the other. It's not new technology.

This is my first wifi enabled thermostat. I love gadgets. I am very happy with this. It works well and is super easy to use. I did not install it but it took the furnace folks (who recommended it) less than 10 minutes.

Was very disappointed that the geofence option and the schedule option cannot be used together. On the Nest you can use the schedule and when you leave the house it goes to an Eco setting, when you return home it returns to the schedule setting programed at that time.
