My family has owned Weber kettles for over 50 years, the quality remains very high. The replacement grill is making everything from veggies to steak like its predecessor.

Rusted badly

The center removable part when placed under direct hot charcoals got too hot (isn’t it supposed to be designed to withstand high heat??) that I completely oxidized to a point when they were impossible to clean. It looks all rusty and crusty now and impossible to restore back to its shiny condition no matter what I try. It is completely ruined. The rest of the grate still looks and works fine even though i sometimes Place the hot coals to one side instead of the center, exposing them to similar high heat as the removable part. I guess they are not made the same, the center grate is now completely ruined and I am having to look for a third party replacement for it. Not what I expected for such an expensive grill grate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my new cooking grate on my 22 kettle but because of the large opening in the center it doesn't give much room for food. Should be sized accordingly to the kettle. The smaller the kettle the smaller the opening

This is a great grate but needs larger "wings". I purchased this for my son's grill, unfortunately there isn't one for my 26". 26" owners are devoted to their kettle and it would be nice if Weber provided more for these customers.
