It makes charcoal grilling so much easier. I used it a couple times already. once for the cone in the middle and another time with the side baskets. Very usefull.

I’ve been using this system for many years and it’s well engineered and very versatile. I currently have the pizza stone and griddle inserts and they work well. My only issue is with the plating on the metal which doesn’t hold up as well as in years past. After a period of time the grate is subject to corroding.

no way to secure the center grate for cleaning

I like the heavy duty grate but I am very disappointed that there is no way to secure the round center grate for cleaning or to allow for hanging the entire grate on the side of the grill while lighting the charcoal. I think this is a serious design flaw.

I like to buy a new cooking grate after the old one just gets too tough to clean and things start to stick. If you have never replaced your grate, its like gettting a brand new grill all over again.

The center section falls into the coals??Under normal use and cleaning this happens all the time. I like the overall gauge of the metal on the grill but the grill is absolutely useless.

Came with my 70th Anniversary kettle. Nice that the sides fold up to add charcoal to the sides. Horrible that the center grate piece falls into the hot coals when attempting to clean the grates….prior to cooking, after cooking and worse when trying to clean after 1 food so another can be cooked. Horrible design.
