The installation was super easy. Setup too. I just got it so I don't know how much I'm saving or how long this will last, but based on my Nest Cam I'm pretty optimistic.

Nest products are great and easy to use. I currently have CO/Smoke detectors, thermostat and a thermostat sensor. I also, plan on buying the doorbell and outdoor camera. Wondrrful products so far not one complaint.

This Thermostat was so easy to install.I was intimidated at first,but the app took me right through the install. I love that i can use my phone or my Alexa to turn the temp up or down. It really is so cool.

I love my nest learning thermostat. It was very easy to set up and I love that it shows me my usage and knows when I get home so it can heat when I'm there and save me money automatically when I'm away.

Easy, looks great, works effortlessly

Installation was a breeze. I needed some help because I had never installed a thermostat before. A live nest agent walked me through the setup with clear instructions and was super helpful. We got it set up in no time. The thermostat learns from your behavior and your life patterns and now, after a year, I barely have to touch it for the house to be comfortable all year long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No Eco

Great thermostat, but no matter the phones location settings, I can’t get Eco to recognize that my phone is at home. Terrible geofencing.Would have given 5 stars otherwise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi philefx, we're glad you find Nest Learning Thermostat great. We do apologize for the poor experience with the geofencing feature, and for your difficulty in setting it to Eco mode using your mobile phone.

Here are some recommended steps to help you set Nest Learning Thermostat to Eco mode:
- Make sure automatic switching to Away is set to switch to Eco Temperature. You can try following the guide on this link on ways to change to Eco mode: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9245535
- Check your Nest Learning Thermostat's location, especially if you're using a Nest Stand. Your thermostat should be placed between 0.75 and 1 meter above the floor. If you've placed your thermostat too far back from the edge of a shelf or table, its sensors can be blocked and it may not sense if you're at home or away. Move it closer to the edge to try to fix the issue. If you’ve placed your Nest Stand on a low surface such as a TV stand, your thermostat may be noticing your pets and not switch to Eco Temperature. Move it to a higher location to try to fix the issue.
- Reset Auto-Away learning. To reset Away, press the thermostat ring to open the Quick View menu > and select Settings > Select Reset > Choose Away and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Try adding another phone to help with automatic switching to Home and Away. Home & Away Routines and Home/Away Assist use your phone’s location to let your thermostat know when you’re home and when you’ve left. Phone location can help your thermostat switch between Eco Temperature and heating without your thermostat having to sense you.

If you've already enabled your devices to use presence sensing to start either your Home Routine or Away Routine, and Eco mode settings aren't kicking in, you might want to check the Presence sensing feature for your Nest Learning Thermostat. It will work best if every member of your household enables their individual phones in presence sensing settings in the Home app. If some members of your household don’t use these settings, your devices may not sense that person as being home, even when they are, and your Routines may not work like you expect them to.

It was a quick install and easy to set up. I was so impressed how thoughtful the packaging and design was. It came with everything needed including a plate to cover where the old thermostat was and a screwdriver for the installer
