This thing is to cool, it does so much and with the app it will literally spoil you. I have wanted one for some time but didn't want to spend the money but man I wish I would have gotten this thing sooner. We like a house on the cooler side and we live in FL so it gets hot and when im home we like it cool, well this thing learns your patterns and saves you big time on the electric bill.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What to get Mom? She needs nothing! This was perfect. Cosy in bed but suddenly temperature outside drops, now freezing- gosh I'm glad I have the NEST.

Best thermostat for the money, hands down!

Have had this Nest thermostat for about a month. The settings and programming are so customizable. I am really liking the ECO feature, and the away feature. The other really nice thing is that from here on out I am not going to have to switch the thermostat between heat and cool the nest thermostat does it automatically. Another very cool feature is that I can heat or cool my home when not at home

Nest Gen 3 Thermostat

I finally broke down and installed two Gen 3 thermostat in my condominium gas furnace and central air a few hours ago. I have four wires and it was easy to install. I do see a fifth blue wire on both my thermostat wiring harness but it was never connected for the C wire on the circuit board. I wanted to connect it but for now it’s working fine.

We've had our Nest for almost two years now and are very pleased on it's performance. We have been able to substantially reduce our energy consumption and costs by installing the unit. We rent our place with Airbnb and folks love it. However, it can be a little challenging for the older generation to figure out - thank goodness for the ability to change the schedule from our smart phones!
