A great upgrade

I really like my new thermostat, particularly the nest aware function. Now my furnace goes off and my camera comes on when I leave the house and vice-versa. It was far easier to program and much easier to update than any pervious thermostat that I have owned. My only criticism is that the included back-plate is a cheap piece of plastic, totally unworthy of the thermostat. If Nest does not want to include a nice one, they should either offer one or sponsor one that is totally compatible. That notwithstanding I would still recommend this to anyone.

Great purchase

With a family of 5 in a 2 storie home, someone was always messing with the temperature ... it’s too hot... it’s too cold...
I love the ability to “lock” the settings but it also allows you to create a “ zone that can be set a little warmer or a little cooler but no more turning it down to 55 degrees! I’m still learning everything it does which is a lot! Great purchase and highly recommended!

Great thermostat, works great, I control from my phone, I have very fast internet and WiFi which helps get fast response times.

Nest!!! No wifi

I paid for a Nest replacement, due to the fact the original Nest Wifi was not working. The replacement Nest wifi stop working after 3 days. I stuck waiting for Google o receive the original Nest order. This a nightmare!!! Nest QOS!!! Very much not good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cool Tool

We have been curious and my wife just decided to get one. I was impressed with the packaging and information. Including a tool that I will keep in the house was a nice bonus. Overall, the installation was seamless, setup even easier and then connecting to the app was easier than boiling water. Hoping to learn more about the management and see improvements in my utilities and overall comfort.

Good product, but needs more detailed directions

Make sure that your Nest has a C wire. Without it, your furnace could get damaged. Don't take the risk.

Great Thermostat

I bought one 2 years ago for upstairs when the original died. The old (original one)one downstairs continued to work until recently. So i bought a Nest to replace that one. Easy setup, works great!!

Solid Unit!

Overall great product, easy to set up and use. I love having remote acces to my household temps and to this point I’m satisfied. The jury is still out on the away detection as even with both phones set up and connected and away from home it hasn’t switched to away mode automatically. However, I can always do that in a few secs on the app. It’s working well to date with no major issues.
