Disappointed with google, not the product

I got this thermostat expecting it to work with my home alarm only to find out after installing and a lot of online research, that google removed that feature. I returned it and got my money back. I feel it is overpriced but the app seemed good, schedule was cumbersome to set up. I’m sure it’s a great thermostat and others will enjoy it, but I am disappointed with google.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Any Works with Nest device connections you have will no longer work after migration as we have retired the program. Google is now transitioning to Works with Google Assistant (WWGA, which enables the Google Assistant to control all your connected products.

Fail

Failed just outside of warranty. Will no longer charge. Support recommends buying a brand new one. Buy something that will last longer than this e-waste.

Easy to use

I only bought this for my heating system so I have not had a chance to use the learning/programming for heating yet. But it is so easy to set up and I love the clarity of the temperature and settings. It also is easy to use in the Nest app where I have 3 smoke detectors that I love.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is an incredible product and is so easy to use! I am so happy that I made the purchase and upgrade from the thermostat I had which was working. It was time for a change and I am so happy I did!

Nest AC/heater thermostat

Great device, I can control the AC/heater from my house in any room that I’m in from my cell phone. Much more better than getting out of bed and walking across the house to lower or increase the temperature. I Highly recommend this, I don’t know why I waited so long to jump on this technology.

If you have an IPad and love how it works, you will love the Nest thermostat and how it works, just a great product that every home should have. It’s smart well thought out the highest quality, not cheap but it’s worth every penny. I have pets and it’s awesome to be able to check and adjust the temp if needed and just make sure everything is working properly when away, via the phone app.
I would recommend this to a friend!
