I purchased the Nest Learning Thermostat from the Google online store because it was on sale. I had been interested in getting a Nest thermostat to replace my existing, non smart thermostat for quite some time.
I chose to have the thermostat professionally installed and I'm glad that I made that decision. The installation was inexpensive and fast.

Easy to install and use. Did the initial set up and the rest is done by the Nest Thermostat.

I love our new Nest thermostat! We got it to replace a "programmable" thermostat that never quite had the correct time. The Nest was so easy to set up. My husband installed it in about 10 minutes (including opening the box & reading the instructions) and then I did the programming part (I'd say less than 5 minutes). It works great & I was able to check on the temp even while on vacation. The nice part of that was turning the temp up once we got off of the plane. The house was nice & toasty when we finally got home.

App is very easy to use and I can now monitor the heat/ac when I am away from home. The thermostat is easy to read and adjust manually as well. Great product.

A month after installing Nest, the reduction in our electric bill almost paid for the new thermostat.
I also like not having to stop by the hall thermostat on my way to bed or when I awake. Nest has learned to lower the temperature around bedtime and have the house warmer when we awake. No more cold floors or shivering while waiting for coffee.
