I changed my previous thermostat (programmable, but not a smart device) with Nest.
I was lucky enough to have all the wires I needed already in use.
The Nest App is a great guidance, again I'm not professional electrician, but all worked great in my case.
I love the ease of setting schedules for days, for time of days as I please.
Also set it and forget it works great.

Never thought I’d be so excited for a thermostat

I house sat for my Pastor a while back and he had one. I knew when I bought a home of my own I wanted to get one for our family. It did not disappoint! Took less than 5 minutes to install. I can adjust the temp from work or from my bed before getting up in the morning. I have a 140 year old house and it’s already saved me money on my electric bill! Super easy to use and it looks great too!

Great for vacation rentals

Overall I'm very happy with my Nest Thermostats. In only a short amount of time it is clear that these will pay for themselves and then go on to save me money, quickly. Only 4 stars because of trouble installing 3 out of 4 that I own. All of these were upgrades from working thermostats. 1 had an issue with getting enough power. 2 had (and still have) issues with controlling AC. Heat is fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!
