Easy installation. Picks up temperature habits quickly. Works great. Love being able to save $$ while not at home but still return home to a comfortable temp. Being able to set the temp from the app on my phone is wonderful!

Functional and aesthetic

I don't use one of the main selling points -- the learning/auto-scheduling functionality - at all. Manual control is still the way for me. The device looks great, functions well, and I like the detailed information (humidity, outdoor weather, history/runtimes) a lot. I really wish there was an option to have the display ALWAYS ON, showing the time, rather than only on approach (Farsight). I always want to glance across the room or down the hallway to see the time, but instead have to walk a distance toward the thermostats in order to activate the display.

Nest thermostat is awesome not only does it works great as a thermostat it's also great for lighting your way at night through your home it's just an overall great tool I love the Wi-Fi capability and how I could just adjust the temperature to what I need too even when I'm out of town

Wish I wouldn't have waited so long

Bought the Nest before the holidays. My husband procrastinated a long time until I threatened to sell it he was very intimidated by the install as well as not knowing if it was going to work the way he wanted as we often heat with wood and only use the fan - however he installed with ease and it is working so well we wake up so toasty in the morning loooove the program feature to waking up warm

Still in the learning phase on this. We have dramatic temperature fluctuations this time of year, and I have set it to a minimum heat temp, when I leave it seems to go into leaf/economy mode where it will kick on the air conditioner because it gets a bit warm where the thermostat is. So when I figure out how to stop that I'll be happier. But it does seem to know when to turn the heat up in the morning and down at night since I'm generally a creature of habit. Installed one for my GF and she's pretty happy with it. I like the voice control of the temperature as the lower level heats way better than the upper at night.

Boy, am I glad that I purchased not one, but two nest Thermostats. Best idea & best resolution for the new year.
Extremely easy to install, looks awesome, crisp, modern, easily read from a good distance especially for the more mature audience.
Turns on by itself when walking within range, fully programmable & smarter than some people I know!! go figure!!
Very pleased with this investment.

Love knowing we are energy efficient

Love our Nest. We were able to adjust the temp on vacation to ensure our home was cooled for visitors and upon our return home.
We also signed up for energy saving with our electric company. On high usage days, we have agreed to us less electricity in exchange for a credit on our bill. This is accomplished through our Nest.
I would recommend this to a friend!
