Sleek and user friendly

I have never worked with thermostats other hvac wiring/setups before, but after reading through online instructions and using the app instructions, I easily installed this unit without any troubles. Very easy to use and attractive on wall.

Smart home into hand

It is a very easy to use device, at a fair price, and the most important thing is that it manages to reduce fuel consumption, it is very efficient, maybe it would just lack voice control saying hello nest and I arrived, so the people who live in the place and forget the smartphone and do not want to look for it can control it

If i could go back and get a different thermostat i would…i’ve had to get it replaced TWICE in TWO YEARS for the same issue of the thermostat no longer connecting to my WIFI and the returns process is not that easy. Thank goodness it was still under warranty otherwise Google said they would charge me for a new unit. Not sure how thats right or fair when the product broke without having anything to do with me, and its definitely a known issue on the internet now…When it works, it’s great which is why I’m giving 2 stars, but honestly NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Jessica, thanks for the time to let us know of your experience with your Nest Learning Thermostat. We’re sorry to learn that you had to deal with the connectivity issue twice, and about the warranty replacement process.
The Wi-Fi disconnection issues may be related to a power issue. Your Nest Learning Thermostat is designed to get power from your heating and cooling system wires. If the system wires can't deliver enough power, the thermostat battery will start draining, and this results in your thermostat limiting its features such as Wi-Fi connection to preserve battery. The resolution may be to install a common (C) wire in your system to deliver constant power to the thermostat. The power resolution will also help fix the connectivity issue. We recommend contacting a Nest Pro technician to check your system first and install a common (C) wire if needed.
Also, with Advanced Exchange, we’ll provide you with a link to order your replacement device and it will be shipped to you before you need to send your defective device back. This way, you’re not without a device. Please note, this option will require an authorization hold on a credit or debit card for the full cost of the device. But once your defective device is returned, the authorization hold will be removed from your card. To be clear, this hold is not a collected payment so the amount will not be deducted from your account.

I didn't get all the hype around the smart thermostat until I got them. The Eco mode is great as well as the ability to adjust my thermostat while away. I also like the monthly report on usage.

Very intuitive!

Having tried other wifi enabled thermostats with varying degrees of success and at different price ranges both higher and lower than Nest, I can say that this one is definitely the best! It is very easy to set up and the features are very intuitive. Those that need a little more explaining are easily clarified by tapping on the 'learn more' link on the app or on the thermostat itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!
