My local power company offered free Nests and installation. I like free, plus i can make adjustments anywhere with my cellphone.
I rated this at 4 because I have only had it for a few days. So far so AWESOME!

I love the Nest. It was so easy to install and setup. I like that I can operate it through my Amazon Alexa or phone app. I should have purchased years ago.

I have replaced the Evaporator and the Compressor on my 9+ year old HVAC and I could hear the system short cycling, I found a pin bent on my old Thermostat when I changed batteries last time, there was no lighting on my old one so you had to get out a flashlight to read it, now I can read that big lit up face every time I walk into the room, I can also keep an eye on it with my phone.

Automatically adjusted temps when I was away, learned my schedule to warm or cool when I needed it. After two years I rarely need to adjust anything except for special occasions. Love the control from my phone or home automation. Looks good and super easy to install.

Big Capabilities in a Small Package

Finally I have a thermostat that doesn't have to be manually switched from heating to cooling and back as the seasons change. And I don't even have to be in the house to change the setpoint. I still haven't used many of the Nest's capabilities but I'm very glad that I bought and installed this device.

Friends of ours had these installed in the new home they built in Breckinridge, CO. They were very impressed as it gives total control on site and remote Our place is a second home. Having the ability to turn up the heat when your in route is very nice. Our 2nd home is a couple states away so being able to monitor the temp is very nice. The Econo mode is a real bonus.

I just installed the nest learning thermostat in a second home and find that it works very well. Its only been 24 hours but is keeps the house at a comfortable temp and sets back based on our occupancy. Im very pleased with the ease of installation and appearance.
