Easy Install

I was worried The install would be confusing or take me a while. Not the case. The walk thru and images they provide are very easy to understand. I had it set up in about 45 minutes. Most of that time was me trying to figure out which circuit breaker cut the electricity to my thermostat so I don't harm myself. I have had a nest camera for many years now and have loved it. Now to set up the doorbel

Thermostat works as expected, had an issue with unit but Nest sent a replacement right away and the issue was resolved.

About 3rd Gen thermostat

I bought this thermostat thinking about a better manage of my house energy due to expensive oil bill, I can say that this thermostat is great and help to save and manage the energy right, you can control it from far away, the look is great, definitely worth to have, only they nest should lower the price, thanks

I got the Nest thermostat 2 days before. I installed it by myself. The instructions displayed was very easy and understandable. You can control it from far away. It looks nice. I love it. I am going to buy another one for my upstairs.

Nest is OK for this year but...

The Nest device is OK but the tech is kinda getting boring and simple. Better up the game by an order of magnitude. Make the ap much better (e.g. custom menues for the beginner vs expert, etc.)

HVAC accounts for a huge part of home energy use and comfort, so having a Nest at the center of my smart home is a no-brainer.
The 3rd gen device offers way better wiring flexibility than competing products. It also plays nice with Google Assistant, IFTTT and my other smart home devices. Using the geofencing features to automate other smart home devices, like my lighting, is awesome.

Can't live without it!

It's one if those devices where you question how you could have ever lived without it. Once it's running you forget it's there and the house is just perfect. It does remind you when you walk by that it's on the job though. The info it can display like weather or the analog clock makes it really neat.
