Solved our heating issues

The Nest was the final piece in the puzzle to accurately and efficiently control our HVAC heat pump with auxiliary heat system. We have struggled to control it effectively since we moved in three years ago. The Nest fixed all of that, including meeting our strict temperature requirements in our household -- we have parrots who need a regulated and consistent temperature. A great purchase!

What Nest doesn’t tell you

You can set up with a four wire thermostat when you originally see if it works for your system it tells you it will but if you have forced hot air like me it will not work but my general manager at the heating company I work for told me you can configure it with a four wire without running the fifth wire
Look at the photo that is where you’re supposed to connect the wires not where Ness tells

Wall thermometer

My new nest thermometer works really well. It adjusts the temperature without having to set it every day. It learned our settings by itself. My wife likes that it lights up when we pass by. That helps walking to the bathroom at night without turning on a light.

I really like my Nest thermostat. Easy for a child to use and looks beautiful in my home. I'd highly recommend if you want a device that can be set and left alone with minimal interaction.
