Best solution for us as remote AC control. Very easy to install. Just keep track of the connections 7 digit code for family members connecting the Nest later.

We’ve finally upgraded our old thermostat to a “smar” one and have zero regrets. Mobile app is amazingly simple to use and holds comprehensive data about your history.

Great product, performs as or better than expected, easily pays for itself in the first year.
Set up couldn't be easier. And utilized with Amazon Echo or Google Home (yes, I have both), is fantastic.
Seriously, if you have gotten to the point of reading reviews, DO IT! You won't regret it. It seriously just works!

not learning to regulate temperature control

After a couple weeks Nest still hasn't learned when to turn the heat up and off.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us. We understand that your Nest Learning Thermostat hasn’t learned your preferred schedule yet and we’re here to help.
It can take some time for your thermostat to learn your heating and cooling schedule as well as how quickly your home heats up or cools down. So, for the first few days you have it, you’ll need to teach your thermostat what temperatures you like and when. Just turn the temperature up or down on your thermostat or with the app.
If you’ve had your thermostat for a while and it still seems like it’s getting too hot or too cold, try some of the troubleshooting steps below:
- Restart the thermostat by pressing the display until it shows a black screen and wait until it's back up and running. A restart should be sufficient to re-calibrate them and show an accurate value. - Check if the Sunblock feature is on or off. Open Nest App > Select the thermostat > Tap Settings > Look for Nest Sense > Turn off/on Sunblock - Nest Thermostats in the U.S. and Canada are typically installed on a wall. Check for proximity of the thermostat to: air vents / electrical outlets / appliances / plumbing (hot water pipes) / warm air in the wall behind the thermostat. This may also affect the reading for the temperature. - Some wireless access points cause the Nest Thermostat’s wifi chip to overheat, which affects the thermostat’s detected ambient temperature. We can disconnect the network for 24 hours and monitor the temperature.

It's a terrible product!

It is the most frustrating product. It is impossible to "set" the thermostat at any given temperature. You have to guess what the weeks weather is going to look like and then schedule it in great detail. I have Nest on one floor and a good old fashioned no frills thermostat on another floor. The old fashioned one works a treat. Nest is just impossible. It's either freezing or boiling! Who designed such a retrograde product??!
