I have severe neck/disk injuries and these pillows save me and my sanity by supporting me and allowing pain relief and support. I will use til I leave this planet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I discovered this pillow thirty years ago or more and have replaced the original with an ever-reliable duplicate ever since. I lie down, turn on my side and put my head down. My neck finds the gentle rise that supports it perfectly and my head finds the valley that lies waiting for it. It feels as if it knows me. Worries and concerns leave my head and run down the channel behind the back of my head. My whole body relaxes, my shoulders on the mattress where they belong, my arms stretched out before me. With an appreciative sigh, I simply go to sleep. Even as my head begins to touch the pillow, I say to myself, "Good night." A very different scenario than when I used to toss and pound my lumpy stuffed pillow into submission before it would let me sleep.

I received the standard size and it's wayyy smaller than I expected. I wanted to exchange to a bigger size and they refused. What a bad customer service. Be careful before you buy it please!

Good for one option or the other but not both

As a side sleeper the pillow is perfect. Right height, firm support. However for the times when I flip to my back the foam doesn't have enough give and screws up the quality of sleep and my neck when laying flat. I wanted to love this pillow but I won't recommend it. I'm searching for something else.

The best neck /side/back support pillow

I've used the TEMPUR-Neck Pillow since massage school in 1996 when I had to seek chiropractic care from poor body mechanics. I always recommend it to my massage clients to this day, 28 years later. There has never been a problem with neck or shoulder pain. It's the best . I use two, one on top of the other for a more proper alignment for me and it works great.
