Started Journey Using a Futuristic Tactical Weapon

First-time buyer. After my first season I DO have a couple of remarks.
The identified initial; weight of the weapon is NOT 9.0lbs, after fully assembled with scope and quiver. More like 10+ lbs. Might not sound like much but when carrying back to a distant stand it makes a difference. I applied a strap to the weapon which assists with the weight.
Needed to buy an after-market stock extension. The 1.5 inch stock addition made all the difference when snapping the weapon to eye level and getting quicker scope acquisition and clarity.
The limb noise is a bit loud. Have not located (do not even know if exists) some sort of sound dampers to make the action less of a snap when the weapon is fired.
The color "VEIL Camo" I thought I could live with it, having difficulty not really happy with it now. IS definitely designed for more a camo for an alpine environment, not the Cedar/Spruce/Pine forests of Upper Peninsula Michigan where more darker greens are better. The brighter "snow-like" coloring in the early morning hours of a hunt, in darkness during a FULL moon, sure shows up brightly.
The included package scope, EASY to adjust and get set up. Reticle is NOT easy to see (even with the red or green lighted markings). Obviously intended for longer ranged archers with its available MANY distance pinpoint markings, WAY TOO MANY for an averaged user with more a killing range of no more than 50 yards, more actually 20 to 40.
An idea might be more initial color options; allow for final owner color adjustment without voiding warranty; More scope options with better reticle visibility and less confusing pin distance choices.
Overall, the weapon is fun to use and definitely a conversation at deer camp.

Easy to cock and uncock. With the stock bolts its s fantastic bow at 40 yards. Its much better with the heavier bolts at a lower fps for accuracy.

My first crossbow

This is the first crossbow I have ever had! I’m an old compound bow hunter (05-16-1958) and never thought would be shooting a crossbow. But when I was hunting last year in the cold for hours I had a hard time pulling my bow back. I did pull it back but the deer had moved away into a thicker area. So when I shot I hit a limb and never found the deer. That’s never good for I sat for 4 or more hours in the cold wind and never found what I hoped to be enjoying the rest of the year. I’ve been practicing with the 450R and this bow is amazing, it’s a lot different than a compound bow and I’m looking forward to hunting with it this year. I would like to win this crossbow to give to a friend and get him into hunting. Thank you so much for the opportunity to join the Tenpoint family. May the Lord bless you and your family.
