Inoperable out of the box/no wall adapter. AWFUL

Shame on Philips. This is my 5th time purchasing one of these kits in the past 5 years. They don't last, despite proper upkeep/maintenance. NONE of the versions have had a USB connection until now, and it does NOT come with the REQUIRED adapter to charge the device. They claim it is to "save waste" but it is just a profit pressing measure, because they even try to redirect you to separately purchase a wall adapter from them anyway. This is useless out of the box. Using the wrong USB power source can damage your device and void your warranty. This is unacceptable. AWFUL corporate greed. Include all required parts to operate the device.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We’re really sorry to hear about your experience, needing an adapter and not being able to charge your device out of the box is incredibly frustrating, and it’s definitely not the experience we want for you. We also understand your concerns about longevity, especially after purchasing several kits over the years. For clarity: this model includes a USB charging cable, but the wall adapter is not included. While this helps reduce electronic waste, we understand that it can be inconvenient, and we appreciate you calling out how it affected your experience. Please feel free to reach out to us on Facebook/Instagram (@Philips) or X (@PhilipsCare). If you prefer, you can also get in touch through our support page so we can assist you directly: https://www.usa.philips.com/c-w/support-home/support-contact-page Warm regards, Philips Consumer Care
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the trimmer and got it for the added features over my old trimmer (also a Phillips) but without the attachments, it does not shave as close as my old one. Yes, with the attachments, it is AMAZING, but my old one did not leave stubble so I did not have to use a razor as much and with this one I do. I could honestly be missing something but my old one is still better
Great machine, it adapts perfectly on the needs of my beard and face and it’s very adaptable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lacking its own charger

It doesn't come with its own charger and I would have to give up one of my other devices charger in order to accommodate my razor. Also the charging cord is so short it doesn't even reach the bathroom counter from the wall socket.

Disappointing Performance Compared to Previous Phi

In past years, Philips made some of the best trimmers, so I expected this model to offer better quality and improved technology. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. The trimmer feels average, or even below average compared to other products on the market. The blades are not as sharp as expected, especially when using the zero-gap blade. After shaving, some hair is still left uncut, particularly around the bottom area of the face, so the shave does not feel clean or smooth. Overall, it works more like a lower-quality trimmer than a premium Philips product.
