Okay, doesn't work properly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, let's see. It took awhile to get going. First off, the sticky tape that is on it, doesn't stick worth a darn. I had a clean surface behind my television and it kept falling off. I had to use some 2 sided tape I had in my junk drawer to get it to adhere properly. That already had me a little on the leary side. It says it's 3M tape but seriously didn't stick at all. Now the USB coming from the lights, I would have figured it would have been able to just plug into the USB port of my Smart TV, but..fail #2! You have to plug into a USB plug which than goes plugs into an outlet. So..again, back to the junk drawer to find a spare phone charging unit. I plugged the lights into that and because the majority of all these phone things are not very long, I had to get an I interior extension cord and plug it into that. So now the LED strip is powered on and I downloaded the app. That was about the easiest thing so far. It hooked up to my wifi with for the most part no difficulty. The blue shades on this LED do not work. I have tried everything. The greens, yellows, oranges and reds are fine however, to have a blue hue background doesn't work. It's green. I don't know if there is something wrong or it's how it's made. I wish I could give this a better review. But for the time it took to set up, install, and deal with issues from the get go, I just can't give it anymore than 3 stars. It does work with our Alexa. And we have no issues with that. Just really needs a better design and a possible overhaul in the way it works, including something as simple as tape.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good, but could be improved.

- This light strip is much more affordable compared to the Philips that I also own.
- It has a nice rubber coating over the lights that I haven't found in other similarly priced products.
- Good colors and brightness
- Top of the line 3M tape
Room for Improvement:
- One thing I hope they add is the ability to link up to Apple Home with your phone camera (they would need to add the QR code to the package.)
- I did run into some issues trying to initially connect the light to the app because my devices are all on 5GHz instead of the 2.4GHz that the packaging says is required.
- This light strip is much more affordable compared to the Philips that I also own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these for my 9 year old son and he was thrilled! They are the cool thing all the kids have these days and they are so cool for his room. He can easily use the remote to change colors or even with his voice through Alexa! They are so cool.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great set of LED lights. The app is easy to download and use. You can easily change the colors and create your own custom colors. You can link these to other brands of lights (at least it worked for the other set I have). The adhesive is very sticky but I would suggest cleaning the surface first so it sticks easily and lasts longer. My son uses them around his bed and they are very bright and colorful depending on the color you choose. I would recommend these lights for anyone who wants to use this lights for added color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Monster Smart App. & Voice Controlled Multi-Color USB LED Light Strip-6.5ft/2m is so easy to set up with step bye step directions. I put my strip up in my room, i love it. I can control the lights with my voice. This is really an amazing product that lights up my life and home. Made of high quality materials that will last a life time. If you are looking for an LED light strip this is the one for you, especially because it is voice controlled. I highly recommend this light strip.

Cool Fun Light Strip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Monster Smart App voice controlled multi colored light strip gave me a fight to install but once I got it set up, I love it! This makes a great back light to my 75" screen TV. It enhanced viewing experience. Just make sure it's close to your router for it to work properly. Otherwise, it's just any other blinking cookie strip. I like the way you can change direction and blink rate of them simply by speaking.
