it lights straight out the box, setup not so easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my favorite- it's easy to use the simple lighting feature straight from the box-in that once you plug it to an adapter and into an outlet it's on simple. the remote button to change the colors and speed was also working right out the box. the complicated part is when trying to use the "smart app" and the cool enhanced features, it took too many trials of getting it to pair that I became frustrated and pushed it aside. There are so many domino aspects to the setup, and if you didn't get one part you couldn't get the others. I didn't like that it wanted to connect to my location (I don't keep my location turned on, on my phone) so having to turn that on each time to use the app was too much. It would be nice if the app automatically identified the wifi in the area, connected and did it's thing. The monster app that had to be downloaded was a bit glitchy, I selected items but it stalled for a long time before acting so I had to keep resetting each time. Also the packaging image showed a yellow golden light (which I really wanted to use) but it wasn't actually one of the color options- there was purple, blue, green (and i think red) but never the yellow golden- it would be nice for the packaging to reflect what's inside.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome colors

I love the fact that I am able to control it as well once he goes to bed. It's a great to make little kids room fun and enjoyable.

Nice ambiance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this, Monster Smart App & Voice Controlled Multi-Color USB LED Light Strip behind my bed. It creates great ambiance. I’m using it in purple to match my decor. This light strip is super versatile as you can put it up basically anywhere because you can screw it on with brackets or use the included adhesive tape. What is really cool about this light strip is that I control it with Alexa. It was easy to apply and setup the app. I’m loving it!

I love that I could choose to control it with Alexa and the color possibilities are great! I do wish the light strip had a bit more stickiness though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super easy to install the strip light. We used it outside on our patio behind the outdoor TV for backlighting. It easily stuck to the surface and the app allows you to adjust the color with easy to set the mood however you like.

I also like how easy it was to set up, and that I had no problems with it. I also like that it has an app. I do wish there was an actual remote with it though too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The have allowed me to add some light to a dark corner of my bedroom. The sparkle is just the thing to lift my spirits. With the length of the string, I am able to move them to new places in the room to bring a new perspective to my space.

Very easy to control, great colors and patterns. NO fuss set up and easy Monster APP controls. Six feet length is nice for short jobs. Lights bright to light up small medium areas. Very lightweight and easy to "hang" .
