Beautiful and Functional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because I loved the color and my original 25 year old mixer (white) did not match my kitchen so I was always schlepping it up and down from a cupboard. Also, my original walked off the counter a few years ago and although it still works great, the rear cover no longer stays in place and vibrates loudly so it sounds awful if I'm not keeping my hands on it. So now I have two to use for Thanksgiving meals! My only issue with this new one is that I have to add ingredients in a different order when making bread so that it will mix well. My previous mixer (5 qt lift bowl) would mix well with all the ingredients thrown in at once. The new dough hook on this does not mix the dry ingredients at the bottom well. So I have to mix with the paddle initially before switching to the dough hook to add the rest of the flour, and then watch the flour to make sure it gets incorporated. So it is a longer process. But the results are great.

Amazing mixer for gluten free bakers!

I was nervous purchasing it due to reviews on how the bowl attaches, plus I had a kitchen aid years ago that just didn’t work well. I am glad I took the shot and got this one! I needed the larger bowl, I do A LOT of baking, I am gluten free and dairy free and buying pre done stuff isn’t an option. I have been baking and using this mixer for several weeks solid and I could not be happier. Bowl is a snap getting on and off, this handles the thicker sticker gluten free dough like a champ!! Plus, the pretty blue color from pottery barn lights up my kitchen!!!
