My husband bought my apple cider stand mixer as a Christmas present, but couldn't wait to give it to me. And I am so glad! If I had a complaint, it would be that the head does not lock when tilted up.
I didn't really "need" a new mixer, but I am so glad Santa got this for me! My old mixer didn't handle the heavy doughs very well. With this one - that is not an issue. Unfortunately I "need" to get some of the cool attachments now!
It's my first stand mixer and I love it. I have not used it much yet but I plan on purchasing some of the attachments (food processor, pasta maker). The fact you can use the attachments make this mixer really versatile. I also love how many colors there are to choose from.
I have had my kitchen aid mixer for about 3 months. We are happy with the purchase. The only issue we had was the mixer came with a metal bowl and at first use the cookie batter turned grey from the bowl. After doing some reasech on the internet found the trick to wash the bowl out with salt and lime juice to remove that. Since I wasn't the only one having this issue, Kitchen Aid should eithe make sure this isn't an issue with the bowls before they are shipped or have instructions to wash with salt and lime juice prior to first use to avoid the waste of batter and frustration of having to find solution. Haven't had an issue with it since.
I bought this two months ago and I really like it. It works faster than my other one and it is quieter than the other I have. I have used it twice and it didn't wake my baby up. I am really happy so I can do it any time but don't need to afraid about the noise.
I had with happily the model "Classic" for many years, and I changed a few weeks ago for model "Artisan"; I was already very happy with the first, but I'm excited about the Artisan, it gives me more power to certain culinary preparations or attachments. These stand mixers are valuable friends in our kitchen and I do not think I could live without it now: anything that entering into the kitchen and see, it makes me smile!
I've had my KitchenAid mixer for 2 months and love it! I bake more now that I have it and wish I'd purchased one long before. The only complaint is that the coating finish on the mixer paddle is chipping off. I will have to contact the company about this I guess. I've never put any of the components in the dishwasher. I only wash them by hand.
