I bought this model three months ago and the mixer has done an outstanding job! I mixed together a wedding cake for my sister's wedding, did great (200 guests)! I done pizza dough, bread dough and countless other tasks and have not had a problem yet. I have put the Artisan 5-Quart mixer through the test and it has not failed!

I am thrilled that I treated myself to this beautiful yellow KitchenAid Stand Mixer! My Mom & Dad had a KitchenAid Stand Mixer when I was young and it was a standard, often used item in our home. After researching and lusting over stand mixers for more than a year, I finally decided on a KitchenAid Artisan. This was a great decision. I kind of wanted the Pro but I just didn't have space for that in my kitchen. The Artisan fits under my cabinets and I really love the tilt head. The performance is exactly what I need. If you're debating stand mixers, watch America's Test Kitchen's stand mixer comparison on YouTube. They demonstrated quite well why the Breville and Cuisinart mixers cannot compete with a KitchenAid. (One thing ATK didn't mention in their comparison is that it's a mistake to focus on wattage; it's the torque that matters, especially if you're making bread dough. KitchenAids have torque!)
