This is my 3rd KitchenAid mixer. My adult son and daughter have 1 and 2,they are still going strong!
They are the lift bowl series, and this time I thought I'd try the tilt head design.
I like the tilt head very much,it's easy to add ingredients and switch beaters if I have to change them.
I like the one piece shield better than the lift bowl mixer's two piece shield. It fits on the bowl easily,and seems more stable on the bowl edge.
Choosing a color was a challenge, though! I picked the Empire Red, and love it!

i have wanted a KitchenAid Stand Mixer for about 40 years. I am now 65 years old and decided to treat myself for my birthday. And let me tell you, it is really a treat. I have baked cakes for my family with a hand mixer for all of my life and I literally burned the motor up in the last one. MY KitchenAid Mixer is RED. It sits on my kitchen counter in full view. I can mix a cake so fast now that I bake 2 at a time-one to keep and one that my children and grandchildren gobble up as soon as it comes out of the oven. I'm in heaven. Thank you KitchenAid.
