Why did I wait so long to purchase a KitchenAid Stand Mixer? My Artisan is beautiful, bold and so versatile. Well-constructed and made in America, you will want to keep this beauty out on the counter for all to admire its beauty and workmanship AND because it is heavy! And it needs to be heavy because it is a workhorse in the kitchen. I have primarily used my KitchenAid stand mixer to make bread and it does its job effortlessly. No grinding or overheating, it makes dough preparation simple. I was fortunate enough to purchase my KitchenAid at a time when a rebate was being offered for a free food grinder. My rebate was fulfilled and I received the food grinder in a timely manner. Thank you very much, KitchenAid!! Since receiving the grinder, I have had a blast making homemade sausage patties. The food grinder makes quick and easy work of grinding meat (make sure the meat is partially frozen and cut into reasonably sized pieces) and allows you to make out-of-this-world mouthwatering sausage! I recently purchased the sausage stuffer attachment and look forward to making homemade British Bangers using authentic recipes from the UK. Now, why DID I wait so long to purchase a KitchenAid Stand Mixer?

I have been wanting a KitchenAid mixer for years but could never decide on the Model and features I wanted. I finally purchased an Artisan in the silver color. This mixer has exceeded all my expectations. Powerful enough for heavy bread dough. I had an old stand mixer years ago and it relied on the bowl turning, not the mixer head. This model's moving head means I don't have to babysit the bowl. As a bonus I got a free grinder attachment, but haven't used that yet. HIGHLY recommend this.
