I bought this as a gift for my sister for her birthday. She's an avid cook and baker and has begged me for years to get her this. She's particularly fond of a specific kind of blue, so I was hesitant to order this online. However, the color was spot on when she opened it. Thank heavens! This particular machine came with the stainless steel bowl which is great, but my sister wanted a glass bowl so I purchased that, too. It's a beautiful addition to an already beautiful machine. And since she loves to cook and bake so much she'll put both bowls to good use. One of the best gifts I ever bought her. She's so happy with it that I'm going to buy the add-on attachments for the machine, and now I'm officially a lover of the KitchenAid brand. I would absolutely recommend this product, and I'm excited to purchase other KitchenAid brand items.

On a scale of 1 to 5, I'd give the mixer itself a 5. It works great, and is going to make Christmas cookies a breeze.
On a scale 1 to 5, I'd give the mixing bowl that came with it a big fat ZERO. Why? It was hand washed twice, washed in the dishwasher once, and washed twice with lemon juice, and we were still getting black stuff off of it. I wasted, a cup of maple syrup, a 1/2 pound of butter, and flour. When it came out of the bowl with black on it, I had to throw it away. I'll give KitchenAid high marks for quickly replacing the bowl, and the replacement bowl was good after one washing.

I received the Kitchen Aid as an early Christmas gift. The only reason I gave it 4 stars so far is that I haven't gotten to use it that much yet, but so far it has worked great! I only had the chance to use it a couple times, and it made the process go so much easier I can't wait to use it for Christmas baking! I also wish there were more sales on the attachments because I would like to try them out as well.

I love this mixer. I upgraded from my hand mixer so I could do applesauce and I am so glad I did. It does SO many things with all the attachments. I wish I had done this years ago. It is so convenient to mix things and do other things at the same time. The only thing is that it is heavy to move around. I don't have the room to keep it on my counter top so I have to put it away. Wish I didn't have to move it around.

A tip was given to me by a friend: if dry ingredients are stuck to bottom after mixing is done, use liquids first then add dry ingredients. I've waited many years to purchase my Kitchenaid.
