This is my third K. Aid mixer and I wouldn't have any other one!! Our son got my old one and he is a happpy camper, too. He bakes cakes from scratch and will make good use of it. I bake lots of cookies and keep my parents stocked up, too.
The mixer can handle large batches and has lots of power which I appreciate. I use it to mash potatoes when my K. Aid hand mixer isn't enough....yes, I have the hand mixer as well!!!

I bought this for myself for my 62nd birthday, and can't believe I waited this long to get one. This is amazing. The paddle scrapes the bowl as it mixes. The dough hook worked wonderful when I made fondont icing. The only complaint I have is that it is heavy. So I have decided to leave it out on my counter. But I got it in black, and it looks so nice, that leaving it out, is not a problem.
