I puchased this Cuisinart ice cream maker to replace another brand that just wasn't freezing my ice cream. I love how simple this one is to use.
Just pre-freeze the bowl, mix up your recipe, pour it in the freezer bowl and turn it on. It'll be ready to transfer to storage containers for the final freeze in just a few minutes. My first batch was too large and it overflowed, my error, but if you plan to make larger batches you might want to purchase the larger model. I purchased ice cream containers to store the ice cream and they work much better than regular plastic containers because they have a special smooth lining. I am sooo happy with my new Cuisinart ice cream maker.

Excellent Unit! Flawless! Fun!! Love It!!

What a great unit! Highly recommend! The footprint is great, sitting on the counter taking up very little space. It is very quiet when using, producing wonderful, fresh, ice cream upon completion. Those that state they are having issues could possibly be not following the instructions completely. You need to be sure to freeze the bowl, we do for about 2 days. When making the base, you must cool it down, leave in fridge for the recommended amount of time. We actually cool down the churner too! The only regret was not getting the larger unit!

I love this little 1.5 quart ice cream maker! It’s so easy to use and the recipes are great. I know what’s going into making it and it’s so delicious! It makes enough for me and to share with my kids when we get together.
I keep the bowl in my freezer so it’s always ready to use and I like that it’s not really taking up a lot of space.

The PADDLE isn't supposed to spin!

I swear I read the directions, but I never saw the part that said the paddle doesn't spin! I was sure my unit was defective! I finally googled "Why doesn't my paddle spin?" and MANY people had the same problem! Reviewers are right - this should be stated in very large print on the first page! Other than the panic I felt when trying to make ice cream for the first time, I'm very happy with my Ice Cream Maker and highly recommend it.

It's good enough and cost effective

I would characterize this ice cream maker as good enough. It makes ice cream and if you have a good recipe it's delicious. There are two hangups to this ice cream maker that I have, assuming that we are talking about the kind that you have to freeze first and then you have one shot to make it. The first is that the components are not high enough precision to adequately and fully scrape the freezer cup walls. I find there is a thin but significant layer that stays stuck and hard/icy (vs soft and fluffy). The second is I have been unable so far to make an ice cream with a premium texture. This machine does not have an active air entrainment feature. The air content could be part of the issue. I'm not quite sure how to get a fluffier ice cream from this maker at this time. I'm sure more experimentation is required. Obviously operator experience matters here. It would be helpful if the instruction manual provided information about how altering different parameters of the ice cream's recipe (such as water, fat, sugar, or protein content) would result in different characteristics for the end product. Ultimately I'm going to have to learn the hard way, by doing. Which greatly understates how much fun and how delicious it will be.

Perfect Size - Makes Frozen Desserts Quickly

I'd been looking for an ice cream maker for two people. Pint-sized too small, 2-quart too big. The Frozen Yogurt - Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker is 1.5 quart size, and is perfect for us. I've already made the strawberry ice cream - adapted the recipe (recipes are included in the product guide) to use allulose/stevia sugar alternative and it turned out great. It arrived quickly and was in perfect condition. I'm looking forward to trying the other recipes for sorbet, frozen yogurt and other ice creams. Happy with this make and model, it really does make ice cream in as little as 20 min. Soft-serve consistency. If you follow the directions you can customize how soft/hard you want your ice cream to be.

GAME CHANGERRR!!!

So I got this machine as a gift just before the new year, and one resolution for 2025 was to KICK ULTRA-PROCESSED FOODS TO THE CURB!!— meaning, learn to make all my favorite meals and treats at home! I loooove ice cream, and having this automatic ice cream/custard/froyo/sorbet maker (all-in-one) is a game-changer!!
It comes with a recipe booklet in both English and Spanish, plus I can find additional must-try recipes online. Top flavors so far are #1 BEET ice cream (rare find in the market but EASY at home. I make it w/ leftover beet juice) #2 Matcha ice cream #3 Lavender-Honey Ice Cream — and all of these flavors were made 1) without chemical additives 2) with honey as a natural sweetener!
The ice cream may take time to prepare, but once it’s in the machine it only takes 20min! The double-insulated freezer bowl ensures an even freeze, and the powerful motor churns effortlessly, creating ✨ PROFESSIONAL-quality ✨ ice cream, frozen yogurt, or sorbet.
Another one of my favorite things about this Cuisinart model is how easy it is to use and clean. Just pour in your ingredients, press the button, and let it do its thing. No complicated setup, no frustrating guesswork—just perfect results every time.
If you’re a dessert lover, HEALTH-CONSCIOUS eater, or someone who enjoys experimenting with flavors, this machine is a game-changer. It’s quiet, efficient, and makes every gathering (or solo dessert night!) extra special.
I can confidently say this is one of the best investments I’ve made in my kitchen. Five stars all the way! At ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟
