So glad i took a chance on this product. It is so easy to use. No mess, no dealing with ice, water or salt. Take the drum out of the freezer, add mix and less than 10-15 you got ice cream. I am so very happy with the machine.

I am glad my husband got me my ice cream maker this Christmas. I love it. The sorbet and ice cream I made turned out good. My husband wanted a coffee ice cream so I googled it and I found more Cuisinart recipes online. I have a big freezer so keeping the tub frozen is not an issue for me.

I think it should not have nothing went wrong with the motor. I thought cuisin art was a good product. I have a cuisin art waffle maker I bought a very long time ago. And it still works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only used it twice so far. The first time I overchurned it and it was icy. The second time was much better. The instructions do say to churn for 15 - 20 minutes, but they should explain why. Also the sides get very icy and it is not easy to remove all the ice cream. It is very easy to use.

We bought this ice cream maker because ice cream from the grocery store is just not very good anymore. This little unit far surpassed our expectations! We've had it for nearly a year, and have used it approximately 15 times. The ice cream always turns out flavorful and creamy -- much better than anything you can buy in the store. We've tried several of the recipes in the included book, and they've all been great. It's very easy to use, so making delicious homemade ice cream is simple. We were so happy with ours that we got one for my father-in-law as a gift. He loves it, too!

I started to make ice cream many years ago using a hand crank ice cream maker. In the late 70s I upgraded to one with an electric motor. Both made good churned ice cream. When it became hard to crank or when the motor stopped, your ice cream was ready to set in the freezer to finish curing. With the Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt - Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker there is no way of knowing when the ice cream is done. After a number of tries, I could still not get the churned consistency of the old hand crank or motor ice cream makers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
