Love love love this machine. I bought 1 and so did my sister. We can't tolerate dairy so we use ALL dairy substitutes. We can enjoy ice cream EVERY day, if we want. We've had chocolate, strawberry, blueberry flavors, used the ice cream to make root beer floats, apple pie/pumpkin pie/sweet potato pie/pound cake ALL ala mode (that's WITH ice cream.) The pleasures are endless. And the extra ice cream left over (if there is any) freezes beautifully if you store it in a Rubbermaid container, lay a piece of cling wrap or wax paper over the cream before you put the lid on it to keep it from getting icy on top.

I received this machine as a gift and have used it twice. The first time I misread the directions and poured the cream mix in before starting the machine. BIG MISTAKE! I was able to save the batch and it did turn out well. The second batch was made without a hitch. It is easier and faster to use than the traditional electric freezers, but does not have the capability to make a large quantity at one time. That is not a problem for me. It still costs less for ingredients than buying a pint of dairy free frozen dessert at the store and makes about twice as much in one batch. I do wish the manual would include recipes for non-dairy "ice creams" since I am dairy free. I am looking forward to trying a variety of flavors.

This machine is amazing! Ice cream, frozen yogurt, and other delights. I don’t use it enough, really. My favorite ice cream is coffee and it's so much better homemade. This beats the old crank models. I keep two freezer containers in my freezer at all times, ready to go to work when I want frozen desserts. Very good price point on this machine. Quisinart rocks!
